DAWN SCOTT STAFFORD

REMAIN & REMIND

Writing, research, interiors, and objects examine the relational conditions through which we understand space.

THE POSITION

IN CONVERSATION

IN CONVERSATION

Dawn Scott Stafford is an interior designer, author of Design Disrupted, founder of Remain & Remind, and creator of Body of Design, a framework examining interior spatial hierarchy through relational proportion, perception, and embodied organization.

Her work moves between interiors, furniture, writing, and design theory, asking how form acquires hierarchy, how the body perceives spatial relationships, and how absence can carry as much structural consequence as presence.

WORKS

BODY OF DESIGN

The body is not used as an image

of the room. It is considered a

relational structure through which

 spatial hierarchy may be read.

Body of Design examines how interior elements assume different levels of perceptual importance within a composition and how those

relationships contribute to coherence, balance, and spatial understanding.
